Sugarbacon Lakewood Hosts Dallas Women Who Vote
On Saturday, June 3, Sugarbacon Lakewood hosted Women Who Vote – Dallas ISD for a special election-centered event sponsored by FLOW (a group of women committed to advancing gender equality through personal development, interactive discourse, and feminist advocacy). The passionate group met to enjoy Sugarbacon’s brunch while discussing the important local election, which has a huge impact on schools in the surrounding area. After the casual, non-partisan gathering, the group of Women Who Vote then walked over to early-vote at the nearest polling location.
Community involvement is a mainstay of ours at Sugarbacon, as a neighborhood restaurant. Staying involved with our local friends is just another way we like to be a part of your life, however frequent that may be. Beyond our responsibly-sourced “proper” kitchen with crave-worthy dishes, we also want to be a place our customers think of as a “home away from home”.
There is no shortage of issues that have the potential to divide us, but nothing unites us more than our common love of good food and drinks. Think of us as neutral ground where opponents can become friends and allies.
Are you part of a community group that needs a place to hold your meetings while enjoying delicious food? We can’t wait to work with you and help you host your group at our restaurant.
We want your event to be easy and seamless, so you can focus on building relationships and furthering your cause. You go about your business changing the world, and we’ll do the dishes.
Aside from community groups, Sugarbacon is happy to host your business meeting, party, shower, or other special event. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, need a meeting place for your committee, or hosting an employee happy hour after work, contact us to custom design a plan that fits your specific needs.
